Dear customer of The House of Beauty

Please familiarize yourself with the following terms and conditions. Knowing the terms and conditions will prevent misunderstandings and promote good communication in the future.

This agreement provides the buyer with services at The House of Beauty, operated by GCC ehf ID: 641017-3960, for a fee. The agreement is effective upon signing. By purchasing treatments and services at The House of Beauty, I agree to the following terms and conditions:


1. Times and cancellations

I understand that when I purchase treatments, cards or packages from The House of Beauty there may be a wait of several weeks before I can begin the treatments and therefore it is my responsibility to book my treatments and/or treatment packages well in advance.

I manage my own bookings and am responsible for attending the appointments I have booked myself or have been booked for me at the salon.

Appointments must be cancelled at least 6 hours in advance, otherwise it will be considered a cancellation and the full amount will be deducted from the card as time used.

NOTE! Appointments are cancelled and changes are made by logging in here or by clicking on the cancellation links in the confirmation emails you receive when you book or in the reminder email the day before your treatment.

Cancellations are not made via text message, Facebook message, web message or email.

Due to busy schedules, we encourage you to arrive 5 minutes early for your appointment so that there are no delays to your schedule as the treatment equipment is in constant use.

If you arrive late, the delay will be deducted from your time and you will not be able to perform the full treatment. If you arrive when the treatment time is half way through or more, unfortunately the treatment will not be able to be performed and the time will be considered used up on your card.

If a situation arises where a therapist is unable to perform the treatment I have booked, I will be notified by text or email that my appointment is cancelled. It is then my responsibility to book a new appointment.

2. Use of treatments, cards, returns and refunds

Treatments and/or cards purchased on the online store www.thehouseofbeauty.is can be canceled and refunded within 14 days of purchase . If you start using treatments or cards during these 14 days, the hours that have been used will be deducted from the refund.
Requests for cancellations and refunds must be received within 14 days of purchase to the email address info@thehouseofbeauty.is

Treatments or cards purchased from us on site during offers are not refundable after the offer ends.
Alternatively, treatments or cards purchased on site can be cancelled and refunded within 14 days of purchase, unless purchased on offer. If you start using the card during these 14 days, the number of sessions that have been used will be deducted from the refund.

Cancellation and refund requests must be received within 14 days of purchase to the email address info@thehouseofbeauty.is

The cardholder may lend/give an appointment or card in their name to another person and must then contact The House of Beauty to notify them of this when applicable.
Requests for changes to cards should be sent to info@thehouseofbeauty.is.

The cardholder may change treatments on cards that have been purchased, and the originally purchased sessions will be calculated towards the change in new treatments. The cardholder will then pay the difference in the change in treatments if applicable.

There is no expiration date on cards at The House of Beauty.

  1. Other terms:

I give The House of Beauty therapists full authorization to perform treatments I undergo at the salon without any guarantee of results.

I fully understand that results are individual and it is important for me to follow the instructions of The House of Beauty therapists to ensure the best possible results, and the success of the treatments is also up to me.

The therapist who performs my treatments adheres to strict conditions regarding execution, hygiene, and safety and therefore is not legally responsible for the execution of the treatment or its outcome.

I am required to attend treatments in underwear and nudity is strictly prohibited unless it is a treatment in the tanning booth.

We strongly advise against people with pacemakers and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding undergoing our treatments, and if they do so, it is at their own risk.

We recommend that you wait at least 3 months before coming to us for treatments after surgery and after childbirth, unless you consult a doctor beforehand.

Our treatments are not suitable for you if:

- You are looking for a way to lose a certain number of pounds:
Our focus is not on clients losing a certain number of pounds, but rather on helping to work on local changes in fat accumulation, sagging skin, edema, swelling, abrasions and various other things. We focus on seeing results with the naked eye and in pictures rather than on losing a certain number of pounds. However, losing weight is often a positive side effect when undergoing a treatment program with us, it is individualized.

- You are looking for a "quick fix" way to lose weight immediately:
We regularly see amazing results in a very short time, but everyone's results are different and we NEVER guarantee success in any way.
We help our clients achieve maximum results, as our clients' success stories speak for themselves. We work with people and if a particular treatment is not showing sufficient results, the person's treatment plan is changed if requested, because YOUR SUCCESS IS ALWAYS OUR GOAL . But those who have unrealistic expectations and are not willing to work with us on their goals and take responsibility for their own success are not suitable as our clients.

- You are not ready to contribute and take responsibility for your own success:
Success is based on a collaborative approach between the therapist and the client. We cannot guarantee what each individual does at home. It is therefore important to follow our instructions to achieve maximum results.
If you are not ready to put in the effort to achieve the required results and take responsibility for yourself, but are looking for someone to blame for your physical form, then we would like to kindly suggest that you look elsewhere.

These terms and conditions will apply to all treatments and cards I purchase and undergo at The House of Beauty until specifically stated otherwise.

By purchasing or coming in for our treatments you agree to our services and the following terms listed below:

  1. Appointments and cancellations:

I am fully aware of that when I buy treatments, cards or packages from The House of Beauty, it may take a few weeks for me to start the treatments, so it is my responsibility to book my treatments and/or my treatment packages all beforehand.


I keep track of my bookings and it is my responsibility to attend the sessions that I have booked myself or I have booked for me at the salon.

Treatments must be canceled with a minimum of 6 hours notice otherwise it is considered a no show appointment and the time is fully withdrawn from your card.

ATTENTION! It is only possible to cancel the sessions and make changes by logging in to the booking section on our website www.thehouseofbeauty.is or by clicking on the cancellation link in the confirmation emails you receive when you book, or in the reminder email that comes the day before your treatment. You cannot cancel your appointment by email, sms or through Facebook messages.

We encourage you to arrive 5 minutes earlier to your treatments so our schedule will not be delayed as the machines are in constant use.

If you are late, the delay will be reduced from your session and we will not be able to do a full treatment. Unfortunately, if the treatment appointment is already half or more, the treatment cannot be performed and the session will be taken from your card.

If for some reason the therapist needs to cancel your treatment, you will be notified by text message or e-mail that your appointment has been cancelled. It is your responsibility to book a new appointment.

  1. Use of treatments, cards and refunds:

The cardholder may change the treatments on purchased cards and then the already purchased sessions are calculated into the new treatment cards, the cardholder will then pay the difference between the treatment changes if they are more expensive.

There are no do-dates on cards at The House of Beauty.

  1. Other terms:

I give the therapists at the House of Beauty full authority to perform treatments that I undertake without being responsible for the outcome.

I fully understand that the outcome of the treatments depends on the individual and it is important for me to follow the guidelines that I get from The House of Beauty to make my outcome the best possible and the results of the treatments also depend on me.

A therapist who performs my treatments uses strict methods in both hygiene and safety conditions and will not be legally responsible for the conduct or the outcome of the treatment.

I am obliged to use underwear in the treatments and nudity is absolutely forbidden except when I do Mystic Tan treatment.

We do not recommend that people with a heart pacemaker and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding come in our treatments, and if you do so, it is at your own risk.

We recommend that you wait at least 3 months prior to having treatment after having had surgery and after childbirth without consulting a doctor first.

These terms will apply to all treatments I may do at The House of Beauty until otherwise indicated.
